Thomas Pash serves as Chief Executive Officer of Rockpool Dining Group, Australia’s largest and most awarded dining group.
Thomas joined Urban Purveyor Group (now Rockpool Dining Group) in 2014 as chief executive officer. Since joining, Thomas has led Urban Purveyor Group (UPG) from $150 million to more than $350 million in annual sales, overseeing 16 best-in-category dining brands and over 2400 employees. In 2015, Thomas negotiated the acquisition of Urban Purveyor Group by Quadrant Private Equity. This move spearheaded an exponential growth phase for UPG, resulting in 2016 in the acquisition of two high-profile brands; Fratelli Fresh and Rockpool Group.
Over the previous 15 years of his career as CEO and CEO in Residence, Thomas has led private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) funded firms, pension fund investment assets and global firms with annual sales in excess of $500 million and market caps of over $2 billion. Thomas is renowned for accelerated revenue growth, Lean Six Sigma operational excellence, a laser-focus on detail and quality and an unwavering dedication to building great, award-winning companies with outstanding organisational culture.
Thomas’ career includes building and leading three firms from early development and growth to subsequent acquisition or entry into public trading. Thomas spent the first 15 years of his career in the hospitality industry working with industry leaders Pappas Restaurant Group, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Red Lion Hospitality, Sam’s Café Restaurants and NorREIT. As COO/CIO and president of the hospitality operations for NorREIT, Thomas managed a $2 billion global REIT portfolio, including over 40 full-service hotels and resorts and 10 original and franchise concepts with more than 70 locations.
Thomas is a graduate of Pepperdine University’s prestigious Presidential/Key Executive M.B.A. program, holds a B.S. from The University of Houston and is a Champion/Master Six Sigma Black Belt. Thomas has completed over 70 marathons, ultra-marathons and ironman triathlons.
