The Bavarian Rouse Hill celebrates 1st birthday with two days of fabulous festivities
Monday, 6 May 2019: The Bavarian Rouse Hill is celebrating its 1st birthday on Saturday, 18 May and Sunday, 19 May, with a magnificent, Bavarian-themed party featuring live oompah music, keg taps, traditional games and family-friendly fun.
Party-goers and Hills Shire locals are invited to join the revelries on Saturday, with a line-up of a quirky games and an oompah band performing fun, traditional tunes.
Guests can flex their muscles for The Bavarian’s renowned stein-holding competition, take a turn at nail hammering, or battle it out for the title of Sausage Eating Champion by demolishing the most sausages in under one minute.
There will also be a celebratory keg tap, honouring The Bavarian’s first year at Rouse Hill with a beer-loaded bang. Guests are encouraged to don their finest lederhosen, dirndl or Bavarian-inspired outfit, with two $100 vouchers awarded to the best dressed on the evening.
As a special birthday treat, those with a sweet-tooth can choose any flavour of schnapps ($11-$13.50) and have it topped off with whipped cream and birthday sprinkles. A tempting line-up of schnapps flavours include cinnamon whisky, butter toffee, sour apple and pink grapefruit.
On Sunday, families can come down for an exciting family fun-day, with free face-painting, balloon twisting and the chance for kids to smash a pretzel piñata filled with toys and treats. Little ones can get crafty with a colouring competition, or unleash their inner pastry chef at a doughnut-pretzel decorating station complete with icing, sprinkles and edible decorations.
Families can take advantage of a fantastic kids-eat-free menu, which allows one child under the age of 12 to eat for free with a paying adult. Boys and girls can choose from dishes such as crispy mac n cheese balls, kids’ cheese burger, chicken schnitzel with mash or fries, the Little Brat hotdog or a grilled chicken wrap and cheese sandwich. Parents can also spoil their little ones with a selection of house-made gelato, which comes in a trio of flavours: chocolate crumble, vanilla and strawberry.
