The Bavarian arrives in Shellharbour with 500 free hotdog bonanza
Monday, 26 November 2018: Shoppers, diners and entertainment seekers will be on a hot dog high when The Bavarian debuts at Stockland’s Shellharbour Shopping Centre with 500 free hotdogs from 11am on
Friday, 30 November.
Located in The Avenue dining precinct on the ground floor and western side of the shopping centre, The Bavarian boasts 575 seats, including 200 in an outdoor beer garden that features a mix of timber-slatted pergola booths and communal tables.
Customers will experience family-friendly dining and affordable daily deals, as well as a taste of Bavarian hospitality, from cultural hints in the interior décor, to quintessential dishes and a large range of imported beers.
The menu spans classic Bavarian dishes, such as crisp pork knuckle, crackling pork belly, classic German and gourmet sausages, shared platters, and a range of traditional and loaded schnitzels. Lighter bites include chicken wings, pork bao buns and spicy squid. Vegetarian and seafood items, and build-your-own salads from a checklist of fabulous, fresh ingredients offer something for everyone.
Shopping and entertainment excursions will be bolstered by a range of daily food and drink deals. A $15 lunch special combines a schnitzel and beer from Monday to Friday between 11am and 4pm. Dinner specials start at 5pm with half roast chicken, chips and slaw ($10) every Monday, two-for-one schnitzels on Tuesdays and refillable, All-You-Can-Meat platters ($35 per person) every Wednesday. Families can take advantage of children under the age of 12 eating for free from the kids’ menu until the end of February.
The menu is complemented by 17 beers on tap, including imported Bavarian favourites Lowenbrau, Franziskaner, Stiegl and Hofbrau. Traditional Bavarian biers are accompanied by an extensive menu of local craft beers, including an in-house range by Urban Craft Brewing Co.
