What’s the scoop? Free house-made gelato at Fratelli Fresh

Friday, 7 December 2018: Gelato heaven is here, almost. Fratelli Fresh Darling Harbour is giving away scoops of the cool stuff on Tuesday, 11 December between 2pm
and 3pm.

This seriously sweet deal marks the start of Gelato Happy Hour at the Fratelli flagship store every day from 3pm to 4pm when an iced scoop will cost just $2.50.

That’s a half-price scoop of pure happiness created by Fratelli Fresh Italian-born Head Pastry Chef Riccardo Falcone.

The gelato counter at Fratelli Darling Harbour displays a rainbow of 16 flavours, including two exquisite sorbets, which are hand-crafted daily.

Customers can choose from black forest, cookies & cream, blueberry & yoghurt, tiramisu, espresso, chocolate crunch, rum & raisin, mascarpone & figs, Nutella, hazelnut salted caramel, pistachio, snickerone, vanilla, coconut, and raspberry and passion fruit sorbet.

“Summer and gelato go hand-in-hand and we want to give customers even more reason to come and chill out at Fratelli Darling Harbour this summer,” Chef Riccardo says.

“Gelato is a showcase of our dessert menu, incorporating premium produce from local suppliers such as Delicious Dairies in Marickville and Velluti’s in Homebush, as well as top-quality international suppliers Heilala Vanilla and Cacao Barry.”

“We encourage everyone come along and try some – first for free, then at a great happy hour price.”

Outside of Gelato Happy Hour, customers can purchase one scoop ($5), two scoops ($7), three scoops ($8) or in 500ml tubs ($12.50) and litre containers ($21) to takeaway.
