1000 free meals, starting Wednesday Saké Jr, Fratelli Fresh and Fratelli Famous come to Westfield Sydney

Monday, 29 August 2016:

Free pizza! If anything is going to help you over the mid-week hump it’s the promise of meltingly delicious, golden-crusted pizzas pulled bubbling from the wood-fired oven in front of your eyes and given to you – for free.

Fratelli Famous, the fast-casual pizzeria spin-off of everyone’s favourite, Fratelli Fresh, will give away 8-inch, build-your-own pizzas to the first 500 customers* from midday on Wednesday, 31 August, when it fires up its custom-built pizza oven for the first time on Level 5, Westfield Sydney.
The giveaway marks parent company Urban Purveyor Group’s foray into the fast-casual dining space with the first of around 100 Famous pizza bars that are planned to roll out nationally in the next five years.

With more fast-casual venues in the pipeline, including the sassy spin-off of Saké Restaurant & Bar, Saké Jr – the first of which opens opposite Fratelli Famous Westfield on Thursday, 1 September – Urban Purveyor Group is leading the charge into what is expected to become Australia’s fastest growing dining sector over the next five years.

Hordes of hungry pizza lovers are expected to turn up on Wednesday to personalise their thin and crisp, or sourdough, or gluten-free pizza crusts, including heartthrob Johnny Ruffo who will draw on his Italian heritage to create his very own signature Famous pizza. Pop duo The Veronicas will also tap their Italian roots when they drop in to personalise their own vegan and gluten-free pizzas on Friday, 2 September.

Fratelli Famous opens at 11am on launch day. Customers who share a social photo of their personalised pizza will score a free dessert on their next visit.

The Famous menu also features nine classic pizzas, as well as breakfast pizzas including the Classic Breakfast Pizza with eggs, bacon, mushrooms, fontina and mozzarella; dessert pizzas, such as Banana and Nutella Calzone, sprinkled with caramelised brown sugar and hazelnut crunch; and a Crispy Greens (salad) pizza. There are also build-your-own salads, house-made thick shakes and gelato in flavours such as Tahitian Vanilla, Nocciotella Swirl and Creamy Tiramisu.

Fratelli Famous is conveniently located on Level 5 Westfield Sydney at the top of the escalator on Pitt Street Mall (by Sportsgirl) and alongside the latest Fratelli Fresh, which also opens this Wednesday with a generous Aperitivo Hour from 3pm-6pm daily, including $7.50 Negroni, $5 pints of beer, $5 wine, $10 Spritzers and $15 pizzas.
The seventh Fratelli Fresh in the family will be open from breakfast daily offering a full-service, casual, dine-in experience for value-conscious CBD workers and shoppers. The breakfast menu includes a choice of ricotta and blueberry pancakes, a prosciutto plate and a variety of decadent egg dishes and frittatas. Customers can grab a seat at the stylish bar and share antipasti or a quick pizza for lunch and dinner, or enjoy a table in the light-filled, spacious dining room with a broad selection of pasta, risotto, meat dishes and to-die-for house-made desserts. There are house-crafted Italian beers on tap and a large selection of wines, including the popular house Fratelli wines. Westfield shoppers who are looking for gifts will find hampers filled with beautiful produce, Fratelli wines, Italian craft beer growler kits and other great products.

The Group’s first Saké Jr opens opposite the Fratelli duo the next day, Thursday, 1 September at 8am. The gastronomic giveaway continues with 500 build-your-own rice, noodle, salad and bao bun-based bowls, topped with fresh and healthy veggies, proteins, sauces and condiments given away from midday. Think: udon rice noodles, topped with crispy sesame soy pork, blistered beans in black garlic sauce and apple soy ginger sauce, garnished with tempura crunch.
Customers who share a photo of their customised bowl on social channels will win a free healthy dessert on their next visit. The first 1000 customers will also receive a complimentary, limited-edition, reusable Saké Jr bag.

Saké Jr will be open from breakfast daily, so customers can power up for the day with an acai bowl, seasonal fruit salad with yuzu, okinawa sugar banana bread, or berry and yuzu muesli. The menu also spans quick ‘grab & go’ items, including soup, sushi, salads, dumplings and gyoza; a line-up of exquisite desserts, such as chocolate-dipped strawberry shuriken ice cream sandwich; as well as cold press juices, healthy smoothies, nut milks, locally-blended Bonacci coffee, and organic kombucha.
The giveaways and exclusive offers don’t end there. Fratelli Famous and Saké Jr are taking loyalty rewards to the next level. Famous customers who have downloaded the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play will enjoy their 10th pizza and salad on the house, and a free birthday pizza.* All customers will enjoy half price thick shakes ($3.50) every Tuesday.

Saké Jr App users will be rewarded with their 10th bowl and coffee for free, and a complimentary bowl on their birthday.* All customers will enjoy half price smoothies ($4.50) every Monday and half price remaining ‘grab & go’ menu items 30 minutes before closing.

Saké Jr is partnering Fitness First, with members receiving 20% off purchases during the launch period. Saké Jr online kiosks will debut at Fitness First Pitt Street and Park Street from September 18, when members will be able to refuel post-workout by placing their order at the user-friendly kiosks and skipping the queues when they pick up.

* Customers must ‘like’ the Fratelli Famous and Saké Jr Facebook pages to redeem their launch day free pizza, build-yourown bowl, and ongoing loyalty rewards.
