Shake off the Monday morning blues with free pizzas and hotdogs when Fratelli Famous and The Bavarian open at Westfield Penrith at 11.30am on Monday, 13 February.
Fratelli Famous, the fast-casual pizzeria spin-off of Fratelli Fresh, will give away 500 build-your-own pizzas to the first customers in the queue. At The Bavarian, the fast-casual sibling of the Bavarian Bier Café, 500 hotdogs will be given away. Customers must follow the venues on social media to receive a complimentary meal.
Players from the Penrith Panthers will be in the venues on Sunday, 19 February, creating their own pizzas and enjoying the atmosphere of the opening week.
Co-joined under one roof, but boasting their own distinctive décor and interior design, the neighbouring diners offer fast counter service and broad menus incorporating quality ingredients and an affordable price tag.
There is generous shared indoor and outdoor seating and a communal bar, giving groups of diners the option to order a quick bite from either counter and sit anywhere they wish, or take their meals away.
At Fratelli Famous, customers build their own pizza by choosing from thin and crisp, sourdough, or gluten-free crusts; different sauces, cheeses and seasonings; and an impressive range of toppings. Nine signature pizzas are also available, including Great Balls of Fire, Spicy Vegan and Classic Margherita. Pizzas are fast-fired to golden, blistered perfection in 90 seconds in custom-built, wood and gas fired ovens that are unique in Australia.
There are also breakfast pizzas, dessert pizzas, build-your-own salads and a rainbow of house-made gelati. Drinks include thick shakes, house-brewed iced tea, Fratelli wines and Italian craft beers brewed by Urban Craft Brewing Co. A $20 pizza and craft beer Happy Hour is available daily from 3pm-6pm.
The Bavarian is flexing its muscles on the schnitzel, burger, house-made sausage and hotdog front. Throw in baskets of twice-cooked, hand-cut fries with a range of toppings; chicken wings with BBQ, Buffalo and Diablo sauces; build-your-own salads; and Bavarian favourites including crispy pork knuckle and tasting platters and it’s a cunning combination of old meets new with an emphasis on quick counter service and take-away options.
A special offer is available every day of the week, including Schnit Blitz Tuesdays when customers can buy a schnitzel and 300mL craft beer for $20 and Fry-Day Fridays, when customers score bottomless fries with every burger or schnitzel. Customers can take the ‘Schnitzelmeister Challenge’ every day and receive the $100, 1kg veal schnitzel for free if they can eat it, and four side dishes, in under one hour.
Beer lovers have a choice of 17 beers on tap, including imported favourites from Hofbrau, Stiegl, Paulaner, Franziskaner and Lowenbrau and 11 locally brewed beers by Urban Craft Brewing Co. A $5 Happy Hour includes $5 craft beers, spirits, house wines and cocktails, as well as and $1 wings from 4pm-6pm every day.
Famous customers who order via the App, will receive their 10th pizza and salad on the house, and a free birthday pizza. All Famous customers will enjoy half price thick shakes every Tuesday.
Rockpool Dining Group Chief Executive Officer Thomas Pash said the Penrith venues would create employment for around 35 employees, bringing exciting career opportunities to young hospitality professionals located in Western Sydney.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing our Famous pizzas and much-loved Bavarian fast-casual offering to Penrith, which will deliver quick, convenient and affordable dining options and create around 35 jobs,” Mr Pash said.
The exciting new dual venue follows Rockpool Dining Group’s first Fratelli Famous and The Bavarian duo, which launched at World Square shopping centre in Sydney’s CBD in October 2016.
