Burger Project’s fifth Sydney store to open at Bondi Junction this Friday, 4 November

3 November 2016.

Owners of the Rockpool Group Neil Perry AM and Trish Richards will open their seventh Burger Project – and the fifth in Sydney – at Bondi Junction on Friday, 4 November.

To celebrate the opening, Neil Perry will be giving away 100 free burgers* to the first 100 customers on Friday 4, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 November.

Similar in look, feel and offering to the other Burger Projects, this store has been designed by the Rockpool Group’s leading architect Grant Cheyne, and will have a smart casual feel with a large open kitchen and relaxed indoor/outdoor seating for 100 guests.

The menu will feature 13 different burgers, fries, ice cream desserts, real shakes and thick shakes, house sodas, Project White and Red Wines, and a small list of hand-selected beers.  There will also be a breakfast menu, served daily from 7am to 10.00am, featuring egg/bacon and egg/sausage burgers, hash browns, freshly squeezed orange juice and house made iced tea and iced coffee.

Neil Perry is excited to be opening Burger Project in this popular commercial, residential and shopping precinct, giving east Sydney-siders the opportunity to enjoy Burger Project’s healthy and nutritional burgers.

“Our Bondi Junction store is perfectly located directly opposite Westfield and will become a hub for people shopping, working and living in the area, whether it be for breakfast, lunch, dinner or an after-dinner glass of wine and dessert,” he says.

To assemble the team of 20 staff members, Burger Project has partnered with Western Sydney Institute (TAFE) to give young unemployed Australians the opportunity to work at Burger Project and gain a Certificate II in Hospitality in the process.

“This partnership initiative is about getting young people into work, training them on the job and giving them the chance to develop their careers.  The hospitality industry is desperate for good staff so if we can offer a pathway for those with minimal experience but a passion for hospitality, it is a win-win for us all,” says Neil.
