Burger Project’s second Melbourne outlet at Chadstone is now open
12 October 2016.
Owners of the Rockpool Group Neil Perry AM and Trish Richards have opened their sixth Burger Project – and the second in Melbourne – at Chadstone Shopping Centre’s new dining terrace today, Thursday 13 October.
Similar in look, feel and offering to the other Burger Projects in Melbourne and Sydney, this outlet has been designed by the Rockpool Group’s leading architect Grant Cheyne, and has a smart casual feel with a large open kitchen and relaxed seating for 120 guests.
The menu features 13 different burgers, fries, ice cream desserts, real shakes and thick shakes, house sodas, Project White and Red Wines, and a small list of hand-selected beers.
Neil Perry is excited to be opening Burger Project at this stunning new dining and shopping precinct.
“Chadstone is such an integral part of Melbourne with thousands of people passing through the doors every day, whether it’s to shop or go to the movies, and we’re proud to have Burger Project a part of the offering,” he says.
To assemble the team of 25 staff members, Burger Project has partnered with William Angliss College to give young unemployed Australians the opportunity to work at Burger Project and gain a Certificate II in Hospitality in the process.
“This partnership initiative is about getting young people into work, training them on the job and giving them the chance to develop their careers. The hospitality industry is desperate for good staff so if we can offer a pathway for those with minimal experience but a passion for hospitality, it is a win-win for us all,” says Neil.
