El Camino Cantina, Beerhaüs, WingHAÜS re-open in Brisbane
Wednesday, 10 June 2020: Brisbane trendsetters El Camino Cantina, Beerhaüs and WingHAÜS by Bavarian will help bring the city back to life when they re-open on Wednesday, 17 June with cutting edge technologies in place to deliver a safe-dining experience.
The restaurants, owned by Rockpool Dining Group will open in accordance with Queensland Government regulations around guest numbers and social distancing.
The phenomenally popular trio will feature contactless, tap & go, mobile phone order and payment technology by me&u, which negates the need for menus on the table and manual cash or card transactions for customers.
All three restaurants will also use the Ritual order-ahead platform, which enables diners to order and pay for
pick-up meals in advance, using a mobile phone app.
The innovative technologies are part of a safe-dining pledge to customers that also includes additional cleaning measures to add an extra layer of safety, hand sanitisers throughout the venues, fewer tables that are positioned at a safe social distance, and single-use disposable menus.
The life and soul of every party, El Camino Cantina will launch back into a Tex-Mex fuelled menu of tacos, fajitas, and nachos, as well as its famous, frozen margaritas and ice-cold Mexican beers. Bottomless baskets of tortilla chips and salsas, and colourful sombreros are free for all diners.
On opening day, cult followers can book in for the mid-week wingding that is Wing Wednesday, when
sauced-up, buffalo wings are 10-cents each. Or guests can dive into a three-course Tex-Mex Fiesta of tortilla chips and guacamole, buffalo wings with blue-cheese mayo, char-grilled chicken fajitas, and churros with chocolate and caramel sauce partnered with margaritas, beer, and wine for $79 each.
El Camino’s supercharged neighbour and beer-focused bolthole Beerhaüs has a cellar full of fresh beer kegs waiting to be tapped. Pair forty fabulous beers with slow-cooked, sauced-up BBQ meats, chicken wings in
10-piece to 100-piece serves smothered in one of eight spicy sauces, flavour-packed schnitzels, big-hitting burgers, build-your-own salads, and everyone’s favourite food – fries.
WingHAÜS by Bavarian on Edward Street will turn on the big-screen TVs to live sports. Diners can score
50-cent classic wings and $5 side dishes, such as giant pretzels, chips, onion rings, potato gems, and
deep-fried pickles, Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7pm.
Rockpool Dining Group Chief Executive Officer Thomas Pash said the Group is taking a gradual approach to
re-opening restaurants across the country, in line with state governments’ easing of dining restrictions.
“We are thrilled to be easing our restaurants out of hibernation in the Sunshine State and to be bringing team members back to work, however, we are doing so gradually to ensure safe-dining experiences are
well-executed at all venues,” Mr Pash said.
“It’s time to help get Brisbane’s buzzing dining and bar scene back up and running, in line with government regulations around safe socialising, so we have stepped up our safe-dining pledge to guests with some cool technologies that add extra layers of safety and convenience, while bringing guests our well-curated,
crowd-pleasing menus, cool cocktails, signature margaritas and ice-cold beers.”
