Fratelli Fresh brings new flavours and spritz-fuelled spring fun
Tuesday, 27 August 2019: Fratelli Fresh is introducing sensational new dishes and fresh flavours to its menu this spring, along with a calendar of fantastic September events, including a bottomless spring brunch, Sunday spritz specials and a week-long celebration of oysters.
New dishes have been added to each section of the menu and feature an abundance of seasonal produce. Highlights include antipasti of papaya, rockmelon and prosciutto salad scattered with mint leaves, cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella ($24); a Sicilian spring pizza on a white base with eggplant, sultanas, crème fraiche and rocket ($28); and gnocchi with pancetta, peas, goats cheese and baby spinach ($29).
On Thursday, 5 September, Fratelli Fresh is honouring National Cheese Pizza Day with Margherita and four-cheese pizzas on offer for $15 each, all day. That’s almost half-price for these cheesy, sourdough-based pieces of perfection.
Fratelli Fresh is putting a spritz in its step this September, offering $10 spritzes all day, on Sunday, 15 September, Sunday, 22 September and Sunday, 29 September. Diners can sip on a line-up of classic Fratelli spritzes, such as Aperol, lychee rose and lemoncello, or a new, pink gin spritz.
All Fratelli Fresh restaurants are joining in on Sydney’s Oyster Week celebrations from Thursday, 19 September to Sunday, 29 September, offering these salty crustaceans for just $1 each, with the purchase of a drink. Diners must purchase a minimum of six oysters to redeem the offer.
Fratelli Fresh Darling Harbour is ushering in spring with a lavish long brunch ($79pp), from 12pm to 2pm, on Saturday, 7 September. Highlights from the six-course menu include exclusive breakfast dishes such as ciabatta rolls with shrimp and avocado, and tomato baked-eggs, or shakshuka. There will also be a selection of the restaurants’ new spring dishes, including a pesto-base pizza topped with ricotta, tomatoes and basil. The brunch includes endless spritzes, espresso martinis, wine, beer and prosecco.
The restaurant will also host a six-course, seafood lunch ($99pp), on Saturday, 28 September at 12pm, in honour of Sydney’s Oyster Week festivities. The menu features dishes such as smoked salmon and chive crème-fraiche crostini, fritto misto with aioli and lemon, and Sicilian mussels with sourdough. The lunch includes two hours of free-flowing Aperol spritz, espresso martinis, wine, beer and prosecco.
Four cooking classes ($49pp) have been added to the culinary calendar at Fratelli Fresh Crows Nest. Aspiring chefs will learn how to make a classic, Neapolitan-style pizza on Saturday, 7 September and Saturday 21 September, from 12pm to 2pm, or perfect the art of pasta making on Saturday, 14 September and Saturday, 28 September, from 12pm to 2pm. Fratelli Fresh is making everyone a winner this spring, by giving away over $500,000 worth of prizes throughout September and October. Diners will receive a scratch card with every main meal purchase, and must scratch off the surface of the card to reveal a prize, including desserts, drinks, pizzas and antipasti items. There will also be a number of cards which will give diners the chance to indulge in one free pizza or dessert every day, for a year.
