Giddy up! At Saké and Bavarian Bier Café – You’re on the right track this Melbourne Cup

Monday, 10 October 2016:

If you can’t make it to Flemington this year, the Bavarian Bier Cafés in Brisbane and Broadbeach as well as Saké Restaurant & Bar are holding Melbourne Cup day celebrations to rival any marquee; and the hardest part will be choosing which venue to visit.

Enjoy a stylish celebration this race day with a contemporary Japanese banquet lunch at Saké Eagle Street Pier, with stunning views of Brisbane River.
Enjoy a glass of Veuve Clicquot on arrival before an exquisite, $99pp five-course lunch, including salmon and tuna tartare, steamed prawn dumplings, crispy skin ocean barramundi, Wagyu teriyaki and a decadent Japanese dessert.

With five private dining rooms, a communal banquet dining area, traditional Japanese sunken tables and a sushi bar, Saké Eagle Street Pier can cater to intimate and elaborate Melbourne Cup soirees.

Get into the Melbourne Cup spirit at Bavarian Bier Café Eagle Street Pier, with al fresco dining and spectacular views of the Brisbane River, or Bavarian Bier Café Broadbeach with an enviable outdoor dining area.

Both Bavarian Bier Cafés are offering a $57pp Hops & Horses menu, including a quartet of Sydney Rock oysters, pan-fried chicken schnitzel and chocolate fondant. There will be sweepstakes and prizes for best dressed and a glass of Chandon on arrival.
