1000 free Pizza and hotdogs this Friday – Fratelli Famous and The Bavarian come to World Square

Tuesday, 11 October 2016:
Could there be anything better than free pizza on a Friday? We think so, so we’re giving away free pizza and free hotdogs to mark the launch of fast-casual diners Fratelli Famous and The Bavarian at World Square shopping centre in Sydney this Friday.

Fratelli Famous, the fast-casual pizzeria spin-off of everyone’s favourite, Fratelli Fresh, will give away build-your-own pizzas to the first 500 customers from midday this Friday, 14 October. At The Bavarian – the trendier, more modern, fast-casual sibling of the Bavarian Bier Café – 500 hotdogs will be given away to the first in line, simultaneously.*

The neighbouring diners share more than just a fast-casual, counter-service connection: co-joined under one roof, with shared indoor and outdoor seating and a communal bar, it’s the first dual-concept dining destination by Urban Purveyor Group, Australia’s largest and fastest growing hospitality player.

The feel-good Friday giveaway marks Urban Purveyor Group’s bold expansion into the fast-casual dining space, following the launch of the inaugural Fratelli Famous at Westfield Sydney in August and the sassy spin-off of Saké Restaurant & Bar, Saké Jr at Westfield Sydney and 555 Bourke Street, Melbourne in September.

With a supercharged pipeline of Famous pizzerias, Saké Jr bars, The Bavarian diners and other fast-casual concepts to roll out nationally in coming years, Urban Purveyor Group is leading the charge into what is expected to become Australia’s fastest growing dining sector over the next five years.

Fratelli Famous has successfully cut its teeth in the exciting new world of gourmet fast-fired pizza, bringing the first Wood Stone dual wood and gas fired ovens to Australia and cooking hand-stretched, hand-tossed pizza bases customised with patrons’ preferred toppings to golden, blistered perfection in 90 seconds. Customers can choose from thin and crisp, sourdough, or gluten-free pizza crusts, a number of different sauces and unlimited toppings to create their own personalised pizza, or select from nine signature pizzas, including Great Balls of Fire, Spicy Vegan and Classic Margarita. There are also breakfast pizzas, dessert pizzas, build-your-own salads, thick shakes and house-made gelato.

Fratelli Famous World Square has Italian craft beers on tap which are brewed by Urban Brewing Co, a rapidly expanding division of Urban Purveyor Group, alongside Fratelli wines and Negroni. A $20 large pizza and craft beer Happy Hour will be available daily from 3pm-6pm.

The Bavarian is flexing its muscles on the schnitzel, burger, house-made sausage and hotdog front, with a dedicated selection of each that are Bavarian inspired and modern in flavour. Throw in baskets of twice-cooked, hand-cut fries with different toppings; chicken wings with a choice of BBQ, Buffalo and Diablo sauces; build your own salads with house-made dressings; and Bavarian favourites including the famous crispy pork knuckle, crackling pork belly and tasting platters and it’s a cunning combination of old meets new with an emphasis on quick counter service and take-away options.

There are seven specials, one for every day of the week, including Schnit Blitz Tuesdays when customers can buy a schnitzel and 300mL craft beer for $20; Fry-Day Fridays – think bottomless fries with every schnitzel or burger; and Sunday Funday when kids eat for free. Customers can take The Bavarian’s Schnitzelmeister Challenge every day of the week and receive the $100, 1kg veal schnitzel for free if they can eat it, and four side dishes, in an hour.

The Bavarian is also pumping out some serious beers with an impressive 17 on tap, including imported favourites from Hofbrau, Stiegl, Paulaner, Franziskaner and Lowenbrau breweries and 11 exclusive craft beers by Urban Brewing Co, making it a prime destination during Sydney Craft Beer Week from 21st-30th October.

Bolstering the draught and craft beer line-up is a broad range of German bottled lagers, wheat beers, and beers with a twist, including Stiegl Grapefruit Radler, Mango Weissbier and Bavarian Diesel, or dark lager with Coca Cola.

The Bavarian also boasts a $5 Happy Hour, with $5 craft beers, spirits, house wines, cocktails, as well as and $1 wings from 4pm-6pm seven days a week.

Both venues offer catering packages and online ordering. Famous customers can also order via the Famous App that can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Famous App users will enjoy their 10th pizza and salad on the house, and a free birthday pizza. All Famous customers will enjoy half price thick shakes every Tuesday.

* Note: customers must be following the venues on social media to receive their free pizza or hotdog.
