Tuesday, 8 December 2020: Hotel Diablo, the dedicated DJ space at the recently launched Tex-Mex margarita mecca El Camino Cantina South Bank, is grabbing its namesake devil by the horns with DJ-fuelled parties every weekend in the lead up to Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
With the neon now firmly flicked on at the new, two-storey South Bank site and 15 margarita machines in a permanent spin, it’s all about basking in the DJ vibes as the festive season kicks in.
Hotel Diablo will spotlight local and headline DJs every Friday and Saturday night, with a local legend playing the first set from 6pm to 9pm, a headliner on the decks from 9pm to 10pm, and a local DJ playing again until midnight.
A Welcome To Summer beach party takes over the late-night spot on Friday, 11 December with Jesabel performing, followed by Brooklyn on Saturday, 12 December.
On Friday, 17 December, revellers can pick a complimentary Santa hat and get ready for a Not So Silent Night pre-Christmas party with Brooklyn headlining, and DJ diva Tigerlily taking to the stage on Saturday, 18 December. From sequins to silk and leather to feathers, partygoers are encouraged dress up in their sassiest Christmas party outfits for the festive weekend.
It’s time to grab the glitterati, because New Year’s Eve promises to be visually spectacular with a glow in the dark theme to the Adios 2020 – Light Up The Night party. Splash the neon body paint for the ultimate partygoer participation.
On New Year’s Day, hangovers don’t stand a chance against the irresistible lure of the Summer Starter white party from 2pm until late. The dress code is white.
El Camino Cantina South Bank’s famous Ritapalooza festival is in full swing throughout the festive season, with 15 margarita flavours available, as well as tasting paddles of four, 220ml flavours.
Guests can dine on Tex-Mex classic dishes, including nachos, tacos, fajitas and buffalo wings from the a la carte menu, or indulge in the Party Palooza package ($69 per person), which includes a three-course shared menu, and a two-hour drinks package featuring all margarita flavours.
Brisbane’s biggest and loudest El Camino Cantina is also launching a Bottomless Tacos & Towers lunch deal, exclusively at the South Bank site. From Tuesday, 8 December, between 12pm and 4pm daily, guests can indulge in an endless supply of tacos, and a bottomless margarita tower, over the course of one hour for $50 per person.
Food & Beverage Director Molly Haranis said El Camino Cantina South Bank is dialling up the DJ-fuelled fun with Hotel Diablo now in full swing and a line-up of legendary DJs for the party season.
“Buckle in for the ride because the party is about to get started,” she said. “With a dedicated DJ space across the entire top floor, and a stellar line-up of DJs locked in, we’re going to smash our way through the rest of the year and embark on 2021 the way we mean to continue: at full speed.”
