Italian flavours of Fratelli Fresh coming to Crows Nest
EMBARGOED Tuesday, 22 November 2016:
Fratelli Fresh will burst onto the Crows Nest dining scene just in time for summer, bringing affordable, authentic Italian casual flavours to Sydney’s lower North Shore.
Fratelli Fresh Crows Nest will be located on the popular Willoughby Road dining strip, making it a convenient hotspot for business lunches, family-friendly dinners, group get-togethers and relaxed long lunches over summery weekends and the festive season.
Customers can also enjoy their Fratelli favourites at home, with online ordering and delivery available.
It will be the eighth Fratelli Fresh for Rockpool Dining Group, including six others in Sydney and one in Melbourne’s CBD. The Fratelli family will continue its geographic expansion in 2017, with a further four to six planned to open in across the country by the end of 2017.
Fratelli Fresh Crows Nest is scheduled to open in early December, replacing the Bavarian Bier Café at 118 Willoughby Road.
The casual menu, with wallet-friendly prices boasts artisanal-style, hand-crafted pizzas with premium ingredients and a carefully curated selection of toppings, including a Diavola collection of spicy salami, roasted capsicum and olives, and Tartufo pizza featuring black truffle, egg and Fontina cheese.
The menu also features Fratelli classic dishes, including the much-loved zucchini flowers stuffed with five Italian cheeses, arancini with talegio and mixed herbs, crisped calamari fritti with aioli, lamb ragu, and linguine pangrattato with lemon and chilli.
Other highlights include a selection of cured meats from family-owned Salumi Australia, chilli-infused scampi paccheri, simple ricotta ravioli tossed with passata and fresh basil, and black cod al cartoccio.
A substantial selection of salads includes grilled chicken with radicchio, mixed baby greens, almonds and lemon and currant vinaigrette, vine-ripened tomatoes with mozzarella di bufala, and a salad of bitter greens and shaved vegetables tossed in a red wine and anchovy vinaigrette.
House-made Italian gelati is a summery steal at $6 a pot, with flavours spanning Tahitian vanilla, nocciotella swirl, creamy tiramisu, and pistachio crunch.
Aperitivo Hour kicks in every day from 3pm-6pm, with $15 pizzas, $7.50 Negronis, $5 house wines and Frizzante, and $5 Italian craft beers brewed by Urban Craft Brewing Co.
