Neil Perry announces new Sunday night trading hours for Rockpool Bar & Grill and Spice Temple Sydney

7 October 2016.

Neil Perry AM has announced the opening of Rockpool Bar & Grill and Spice Temple in Sydney on Sunday nights, commencing Sunday 30 October.

Since the restaurants opened in 2009, they have been closed for trade on Sundays.  However, with more people visiting the CBD on weekends and a shift to dining on nights other than Friday and Saturday, Neil has realised the opportunity to open his popular restaurants on Sundays.

“The city used to be a ghost town on weekends but now there are so many people shopping and enjoying the attractions of the city, and we want to capture those who want to stay and enjoy an early meal with the family or friends,” he says.

The Rockpool Group’s booking service Dimmi further promotes this trend with data highlighting a 6% increase in customer spending on Sundays (FY2014-16) and a 9% increase in bookings.

Dimmi’s CEO Stevan Premutico agrees saying “What was once a day of rest has become one of our new favourite dining day – third only to the Saturday and Friday craze. Sunday dining is definitely in vogue with many Aussies taking full advantage of the weekend and heading out on a Sunday to enjoy a meal and a few beers with mates and family.”

Sunday night trading at Rockpool Bar & Grill Sydney and Spice Temple Sydney will commence on Sunday, 30 October from 5.30pm – 10pm.
