Wednesday, 28 November, 2018: With exquisite set menus, Tex-Mex fiestas, front-row firework viewing and world-class DJ entertainment, Rockpool Dining Group restaurants are celebrating a fabulous year with their best New Year’s Eve festivities yet.
Somewhere for firework fanatics:
Saké Restaurant & Bar Manly offers rooftop views of local fireworks at 9pm, with floor-to-ceiling windows and doors opening to an al fresco dining area. Window and terrace tables are available for $219pp and include a seven-course set menu with a glass of Champagne on arrival. Inside tables are available for $199pp and also include the set menu. Guests can kick on the next day with a New Year’s Day party package available from 12pm to 5pm for $250pp, featuring free-flowing Champagne, canapes and DJ tunes by Yolanda Be Cool. El Camino Cantina in The Rocks is perfectly located for Sydney’s famous fireworks, just a stone’s throw from the Harbour Bridge, while the newly opened Manly restaurant promises a spectacular rooftop view of local fireworks. Each restaurant is hosting a Tex-Mex fiesta with free chips and salsa, a tasty a-la-carte menu and Sydney’s biggest and best Margaritas. Full details can be found here.
Rosetta Ristorante at Grosvenor Place is an idyllic New Year’s Eve dinner spot, offering terrace views of the fireworks. There are two dinner sittings available: 6pm and 9.45pm, with an Italian a-la-carte menu on offer. A share-style set menu is also available for $95pp, featuring a glass of prosecco on arrival. Overlooking Circular Quay and Sydney Harbour, Bar Patrón by Rockpool offers one of the best seats in the house to ring in the New Year. There are two sittings available: 6pm and 9.45pm. There is a minimum spend of $150pp required for 6pm sittings and a $250 minimum for 9.45pm sittings. Each includes a shared set menu with welcome margarita on arrival. The Bavarians at Manly and Miranda offer front-row seats for local firework displays at 9pm, while Munich Brauhaus in The Rocks is just minutes from the Harbour. All of the group’s Bavarian restaurants are offering a classic a-la-carte dinner menu and big, Bavarian beers. Fratelli Fresh Darling Harbour is celebrating New Year’s Eve with a three-course Italian menu for $49pp. There are two sittings: 6pm and 9pm, with live music and DJ entertainment until 11.30pm. Children eat free from the kids menu all evening. Members of the restaurants’ loyalty program, Fratelli Friends, can enjoy 50% off their bill at all Fratelli Fresh restaurants on New Year’s Eve. A place to groove and shake:
World-renowned DJ Tigerlily is taking over The Argyle in The Rocks on New Year’s Eve, promising partygoers a night to remember. Early bird tickets are $40pp, while a $150pp VIP package features three hours of roaming canapes as well as sparkling and house wine and beer, between 6pm and 9pm. The Argyle’s iconic cobblestone courtyard is set to transform into a kaleidoscopic display of colour, with pass outs awardable for the midnight firework display. Tickets can be purchased here.
