R Bar launches elegant afternoon tea service

Monday, 2 September 2019: Luxe up the weekend with afternoon tea service at R Bar, featuring a three-tiered stand of exquisite, house-made savouries and pastries and an indulgent cocktail or glass of Champagne for an additional treat.

R Bar’s afternoon tea affair launches on Saturday, 7 September and will be available every Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 4pm, for bookings only.

Reserve a table at Rockpool Dining Group’s stylish, new bar, which is located in the lobby of Crown Towers Melbourne, choose a tea-tray option, take it to the next level with the addition of a cocktail or glass of Champagne, and luxuriate in a little old-school charm.

Afternoon tea includes a selection of savouries and sweets that are available on R Bar’s all-day menu. There are four options available, all served with French-pressed Lavazza coffee, or Sri Lankan teas by Somage:

Rockpool Dining Group Culinary Director Neil Perry said the afternoon tea service showcased the talents of the culinary team and pastry chefs who hand-made every item and used the very best produce available.

“This is fine craftmanship at its absolute best,” Neil said. “From the sheer, flakiness of gnocchi fritti, to the
bite-sized butteriness of vanilla macaroons, and the gastronomic bling of Ars Italica Oscietra caviar with sour cream and blini, this is five-star deliciousness bite by exquisite bite.”

R Bar is a new addition to Rockpool Dining Group’s premium portfolio. The stylish lobby bar opened at Crown Towers Melbourne in July 2019.
