Rockpool Dining Group FAQs
How can I earn Qantas Points with Rockpool Dining Group?
You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer to earn and use Qantas Points. Members who dine at the following Rockpool Dining Group venues between 1 December 2017 and 31 May 2018 will earn double Qantas Points as outlined below:
- Earn 4 points per $1 spent at ‘Premium’ and ‘Casual’ restaurants – Sake Restaurant & Bar, Spice Temple, The Cut Bar & Grill, Rockpool Bar & Grill, Rosetta, El Camino Cantina, Fratelli Fresh, The Bavarian, Munich Brauhaus and The Argyle.
- Earn 2 points per $1 spent at ‘Fast Casual’ restaurants – Burger Project, Fratelli Famous.
You will need to provide your Qantas Frequent Flyer member number to the venue at the time of payment. If you are unable to provide your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number at the time of transaction, you will be unable to earn Qantas Points.
How can I use Qantas Points with Rockpool Dining Group?
To use Qantas Points, simply let the venue know at the time of payment that you’d like to pay part or all of your bill using points.
If you have a high enough Qantas Points balance you will be given the option of paying the entire bill with Qantas Points.
Alternatively, you can reduce your bill in increments of 4,000 Qantas Points. Each increment of 4,000 Qantas Points reduces the bill by $20.
For example, if your bill is worth $45.50 (and you do not want to pay the full amount with points), then you might use 8,000 Qantas Points to reduce the bill by $40. You could then choose to either pay the remaining $5.50 by cash / credit card as you prefer.
Do I need to provide my Qantas Frequent Flyer number when I make my booking?
The Reservations Team will ask you if you are a Qantas Frequent Flyer member and capture your membership number to the booking.
When using online reservations we encourage you to add your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number into the comments field.
This allows the waitstaff to identify you as a Qantas Frequent Flyer member when you arrive.
What if I’ve forgotten my Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number?
You are unable to earn or redeem Qantas Points if you cannot produce your Qantas Frequent Flyer member number on the spot.
If you access your emails from a smartphone, check for an email from Qantas Frequent Flyer, as your membership number is included at the top of the email. You can also find your Qantas Frequent Flyer number (and points balance) on the Qantas app after logging in.
What if I’ve forgotten my Qantas Frequent Flyer PIN?
You can reset your Qantas Frequent Flyer PIN on the spot by logging in to qantas.com or the Qantas app on your smartphone and choosing the Forgotten PIN feature whilst at the venue.
If you are unable to provide your PIN, then unfortunately you cannot use your points to reduce your bill payment. However, you may still earn points for the restaurant bill as your PIN is not required when earning Qantas Points.
What if a group of members wish to split their bill, and more than one member wants to earn Points?
Qantas Points are earned based on the payment split to each Qantas Frequent Flyer member.
If John pays $10, and Suzy pays $15, then John earns Qantas Points for the $10 portion and Suzy earns Qantas Points for the $15 portion.
What if a group of members wish to split their bill, and more than one member wants to use Points?
One member can elect to pay the full amount of the bill with Qantas Points, however if multiple members wish to split the payment each using Qantas Points then this must be done in increments of 4,000 Qantas Points. Each increment of 4,000 Qantas Points reduces the bill by $20. Any remaining amount would need to be paid by cash / credit card as preferred.
What if I am the only Qantas Frequent Flyer member in the group. Can I earn Qantas Points on the entire restaurant bill?
The amount of points you earn is based on the amount you pay for the restaurant bill. If you pay the entire amount of the bill you are entitled to earn points on the entire transaction.
If you are the only Qantas Frequent Flyer member in the group, you could opt to pay the restaurant the entire bill so you receive points on the entire bill, and separately ask the other guests in the group to pay you their portion of the bill by cash or bank transfer.
Can members earn or use Qantas Points for an organised function where a whole venue is booked e.g. birthday, wedding, formal work event?
No, they cannot.
What if I’m not yet a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, but wish to join and earn Qantas Points on my current dining experience?
