Rockpool Dining Group restaurants spice up Negroni Week
Thursday, 30 May 2019: Rockpool Dining Group restaurants have taken the classic Negroni to the next level, each putting their own unique spin on the famous Italian cocktail for Negroni Week, which runs from Monday, 24 June to Sunday, 30 June.
Each restaurant will donate $1 from every Negroni sold during the annual fundraising event to OzHarvest, which diverts waste food from the hospitality industry to people in need.
Rosetta Trattoria is flying the flag for the world-famous classic Italian aperitif, hosting a Negroni activation at its Little Rose Terrace Bar for the month of June. Six stunning Negronis will be showcased, available for $15 each or the fantastic Happy Hour price of $10 from 4pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday.
Negroni: Campari, Cinzano Rosso, Bulldog London Dry Gin,
Boulevardier: Russell’s Reserve 10-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Cinzano Rosso, Campari
Rosita: Espolon Tequila Reposado, Cinzano Rosso, Cinzano Extra Dry, Campari
Rum Negroni: Campari, Cinzano Rosso, Appleton Estate Signature Blend Jamaica Rum
Negroni Sour: Negroni pre-batch, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup
Rosetta: Glen Grant 10-year-old Scotch Whisky, Campari, Cinzano Bianco, grapefruit soda
Rosetta will also host a Negroni masterclass on Wednesday, 12 June at 6pm to demonstrate the tricks of the perfect Negroni, including two cocktails and bar snacks. ($25pp)
A four-course dinner with Negronis to match each course will be held on Wednesday, 19 June from 6pm. The menu features burrata with sweet and sour radicchio and salumi misti to start; rigatoni alla carbonara; followed by Cape Grim beef Tagliata, white beans and dragoncello; market fish salmoriglio; then Negroni tiramisu to finish. Sunday, 30 June – Good Morning: Campari, Cinzano Rosso vermouth, Tanqueray, cold drip coffee
Fratelli Fresh Darling Harbour, home to Australia’s first Campari Bar, can also indulge in a special Negroni tasting line-up ($20) featuring three, 45ml Negronis of choice. Campari is also hosting two Negroni masterclasses on Thursday, 20 June at 6.15pm and 7.15pm, which include a classic Negroni and antipasti platter. (Each session $20pp)
